PR StoryWire

Introducing PR StoryWire… a new OFN Member benefit designed to help increase PR exposure for OFN Members and the CDFI industry. PR StoryWire is a new public relations email service from OFN that will collect CDFI industry-related information from Members who have opted-in to receive real-time, PR StoryWire email alerts. The goal of this great, new Member benefit is to raise awareness of the CDFI Industry by alerting CDFIs to a mix of national, regional, and industry trade press news opportunities that they might not otherwise be aware of, and by having OFN take the lead on rapidly collecting—and pitching—the specific CDFI information for which reporters are asking.

Participating in PR StoryWire is easy:

1. Opt-in to receive StoryWire emails and we’ll send them as soon as they are received

2. When you receive an inquiry relevant to your CDFI respond to it as quickly and completely as possible (answer all questions, offer a detailed story, etc)

3. If a reporter is interested in learning more from you, OFN will contact you with next steps

We will begin sending PR StoryWire emails in mid-May, and they will be sent as reporter inquiries are received, which may be a few times a week, month, or more frequently if a CDFI-related topic becomes a hot topic in the news.

Please note: just because you sign up for PR StoryWire does not mean you need to respond to all inquiries you receive. If you’re busy on an exciting new project, or you don’t have time to work with a reporter on a story, no problem! Reply as often as you’d like/are able.
