Creating Impact

In the first three months since the launch of Create Jobs for USA thousands of lives have been affected. The impact to date of Create Jobs for USA Fund to date includes:

• Raising more than $7.5 million in donations

• Generating $50 million in total financing for community businesses through CDFIs

• Helping to support nearly 280 loans across 31 states so far, with more to come

• 2,300 expected jobs created and retained through the Create Jobs for USA Program as of March, 2012

Create Jobs for USA Awardees

The impact of the Create Jobs for USA initiative is possible due to the hard work of OFN’s Member CDFIs who were awarded grants to foster growth in community businesses around the country.

Combining innovation and determination, these CDFIs are performance-oriented, responsible, and affordable lenders that spark job growth in the areas where it is needed most.

Stay Involved

There are many ways that you can help address the current job crisis in the country and contribute to job creation through the Create Jobs for USA initiative. You can:

Donate

Donate at the Create Jobs for USA website, or at your local Starbucks. Or mail a check to the Fund. Use the Donate link to the right to learn more.

Fundraising

Organize a creative fundraiser to draw attention to Create Jobs for USA, while raising money for new capital grants. This might include a fundraiser at your school, running in a 5K race, or organizing an eBay charity auction. Online tools like wishes.causes.com and ebaygivingworks.com make it easy.

Share your ideas on how communities can come together to help the current job crisis, or stories of inspiration or hope that might help a neighbor get back on their feet, on our Create Jobs for USA Facebook page.
