We are pleased to announce the date and location of the 2011 Opportunity Finance Network Conference—November 14–17, 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Opportunity Finance Network Conference is the premier annual meeting place for the community development financial institution (CDFI) industry. Opportunity Finance Network would like to recognize Bank of America, Citi, and Goldman Sachs for their innovative support of CDFIs. All three institutions made significant announcements at the 2010 Opportunity Finance Network Conference.

  • Bank of America announced its renewed commitment to serve as the lead Sponsor of the Opportunity Finance Network Conference in 2011, as well as its intention to grow its $1 billion CDFI investment portfolio.
  • Citi announced that it has already approved $60 million in CDFI financing of the initial $200 million pool in the Communities at Work Fund. A partnership between Citi, OFN, and Calvert Foundation, the Fund was established to help fuel small business lending in low-wealth and low-income U.S. communities.
  • Goldman Sachs announced the "10,000 Small Businesses CDFI Small Business Financing Initiative," which will strengthen individual CDFI's capability to lend to small businesses.
