Mark Pinsky’s State of the Industry Speech
In OFN President and CEO Mark Pinksy’s state of the industry speech, he focused on the state of CDFIs in light of the increased money in the CDFI Fund, The Capital Magnet Fund, the recently enacted Small Business Jobs Act, the Jobs Act, and other initiatives that point to the health and growth of importance of the industry, such as the First Lady’s Healthy Foods Initiative. He talked about the OFN strategic plan, a collboartive document that looks 15 years into the future of the CDFI industry, and said, “We want CDFIs to become powerful enough to make ourselves heard and to ensure that CDFIs have the resources and agility they need to create good opportunities before bad lenders fill the void.”
