Opportunity Finance Network’s core purpose is to align capital with social, economic, and political justice. To that end, OFN advances public policies to help CDFIs better serve low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities.

We are proud of our role in creating the CDFI Fund, opening up federal programs across the government to CDFIs, and establishing the New Markets Tax Credit program.

Our goals continue to be ambitious—OFN's work is far from done. The CDFI industry holds the power to transform lives and communities across the US and supportive government policy is critical to its success. OFN has developed a 2013 CDFI Opportunity Agenda to promote public policies that will assist CDFIs in expanding access to affordable, responsible financial products and services in underserved areas throughout our nation.
