OFN Board to Advocate for CDFIs on Capitol Hill
On May 16 and 17, the OFN Board of Directors is traveling to Washington DC for the second annual Board Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill. The Board will meet with federal policymakers in Congress and the Obama Administration to voice their support for the CDFI industry. 2011 State Legislative Report Available
The 2011 State CDFI Legislation and Advocacy Report is now available for download! This year’s report contains synopses of CDFI-specific legislation introduced in the 2011 legislative session. It also features an in-depth case study of the State Small Business Credit Initiative and the role of CDFIs in implementing programs in their state, as well as an update on CDFI tax credit legislation and advocacy in Wisconsin.

OFN Members Receive $850 Million in New Markets Tax Credit Allocations
On February 24th, CDFI Fund Director Donna Gambrell was joined by Maryland Congressman Elijah Cummings in Baltimore, MD in announcing $3.5 billion in New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) awards. The allocations provided credits to 99 organizations headquartered in 27 states and the District of Columbia.
